
What is Community Social Responsibility (CSR)?
CSR is generally understood to be the way companies integrate social, environmental and economic concerns into their values, culture, decision-making, strategy and operations in a transparent and accountable manner to establish better practices within the company, create wealth and improve society.
The World Business Council for Sustainable Development has described CSR as the business contribution to sustainable economic development.

The George Fellows Enterprises Ltd T/A Ozo 24/7 Collect & Recycle is committed to the principles of Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We undertake to comply with all relevant legislation and regulations.
Specifically, we are committed to the following Practical CSR Action Plan.
Practical CSR Action Plan
The following Action Plan describes four key objectives and a series of specific goals or actions that OZO 24/7 Collect & Recycle will continually work towards in order to achieve the stated objectives.

IMPROVING THE ENVIRONMENT |
Action 1

Reduce consumption of energy, water and other natural resources, and emissions of hazardous substances.

Use or produce recycled and recyclable materials; increase the durability of products and minimise packaging through effective design (reduce, reuse and recycle).

Train staff so that they look for additional ways to reduce the company’s environmental footprint.

Establish an environmental management system with objectives and procedures for evaluating progress, minimizing negative impacts and transferring good practices.

Commit to an external code or standard or a set of business principles that provides a framework to measure progress on environmental, and social and community issues.

IMPROVING HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Establish policies to ensure the health and safety of all employees and make the policies known to employees.

Involve employees in business decisions that affect them and will improve the work environment.

Provide training opportunities.

Be open to job splitting, flexi-time and other work-life balance policies.

PROMOTING DIVERSITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS

Develop policies against discrimination in hiring, salary, promotion, training or termination of any employee on the basis of gender, race, age, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or religion.

Do not tolerate behaviour in the workplace that may insult employees on the basis of gender, race, age, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or religion.

Pay comparable wages for comparable work.

Support organisations that promote fair trade and human rights compliance.

Check where products are manufactured and look into any associated human rights concerns.

Look for opportunities to make surplus product and redundant equipment available to local schools, charities and community groups.

Buy from local suppliers and strive to hire locally.

Use some of the marketing budget to associate the business or brand with a social cause.
